What do we look for?
We hope to admit people who will embrace the challenge of fundamental investing and make the most of TBC’s opportunities. This means we look for qualities such as genuine intellectual curiosity, intrinsic motivation, and strong business intuition. However, we are not looking for a previously established interest in, or knowledge of, investing.

What does the recruitment process include?
We ask for a written application and conduct two rounds of interviews with leadership members. We do not expect any prior knowledge or finance experience; in that vein, we also do not ask for a resume.

Can I apply without any finance or economics background?
Yes; we encourage it. No prior financial experience or interest is required or expected. We teach our New Member Education curriculum assuming zero prior knowledge. Many of our most successful members, and a majority of current leadership, entered the club with no background in finance.

Do I have to major in economics to do well in the club?
No; we do not ever expect any particular coursework from our applicants or members. Several of our current members, including leadership, do not major in economics.

I applied in a previous cycle; can I apply again?
Yes; many of our successful members were admitted to the club after multiple applications.
